  1. Object Width Box  
  2.     The Object Width Box consists of a text box that allows you to 
  3. change the width of an active object. 
  4.      When any item except for a line is active, the value from the box
  5.  represents the width of the item.
  6.     When the line is active, the value from this box means the length of
  7.  the line. 
  8.     To change the width of an item:  Click on Object Width Box. When
  9.  the text insertion point appears enter the desired value in it.  The
  10.  measurement units are those specified through the Ruler Settings
  11.  menu entry (Edit Menu) or directly by clicking on the lines
  12.  intersection in the left top corner of the document window  while the
  13.  Option key is pressed down. When rulers have different settings, the  
  14. units are Inches.
  15.     With the Zoom Tool selected, the value in the box means the Zoom
  16.  increment  percentage.
